Lay Organization

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, foreasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Cor. 15:58)

Our main purpose is to train the laity about the local church as well as the connectional church. We work cooperatively with all other organizations in the local church to support the work and ministry of the church and the Pastor. We also work to implement programmatic objectives of the Connection, District and Conference at our Local Church.

The Lay Organization is a ministry comprised of any non-ordained members of the AME Church whose purpose is to teach, train, and instill great love and appreciation for Christ, and the history, tradition and principles of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.Our main purpose is to train the laity about the local church as well as the connectional church. We work cooperatively with all other organizations in the local church to support the work and ministry of the church and the Pastor. We also work to implement programmatic objectives of the Connection, District and Conference at our Local Church.

Annual Membership of $25 includes dues for the Conference Lay Organization and one ticket to the Annual Christmas Breakfast

Adams Chapel Lay Organization meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00am
